Vivian Leona Robinson

Vivian Leona Robinson was born in Stockton, California — the nearest hospital to Tracy at the time into a proud Tracy railroad family. With a strong sense of honor and duty, she served four years in the U.S.  Navy during World War II. After her service, Vivian married Wayne Robinson, an Army man whose family shared her roots in Tracy’s railroad community.

Before becoming a telephone operator in the era of manual switchboards, Vivian spent her early years as a lifeguard at Tracy’s public pool. Once her sons were grown, she discovered a passion for painting, creating over 60 works that reflected her love of the craft.
